This blog purpose is to share my success and failures in gardening in a tropic. I have no particular liking to any plant/ flower but once it caught my attention there is no other way for me but to have it. Since I’ve all the local plant that i fancy, now i cast my eyes far away, temperate flower/plant. Hence the existence of My Experimental Garden Blog. Hope you enjoy my blog.

Bhut Jolokia aka chilli from hell
Also known as Ghost Pepper, Naga Morich. Legendary variety, one of the world’s hottest peppers, if not the hottest, with readings in excess of 1,000,000 Scoville units. I only use 1/8 part of this pepper for cooking. with that amount it is still HOT!
Yesterday my father use one of this pepper and a handful of purple pepper to make" sambal belacan". I warned him that this hot pepper is really hot but he just brushed off my warning. He becomes very quiet after he taste his "sambal " . Today he tells me that it was so hot he can hardly breathe, his lips were swollen and his tongue was on fire. He nicknamed it " the chili from hell"

Giant Russian sunflower
The name
says it all. It grow to the height of 7 feet. The flower is big as each plant will produce a
single flower. However this is the first time the flower head is droopy, i hope
it is heavy because it is laden with seeds. Maybe after this i can try homemade
organic roasted giant sunflower seeds.
