Drought: all is not lost

Now the weather is almost like Mediterranean, Cold at night and early morning, windy and hot in the afternoon, no rain past 2 months. Grass and my entire newly sprouted seedling are dead. However some potted plants really love it.

Herb's flower

Now is a rainy season in the east coast of west Malaysia. On a cloudy day, the daytime temperature is between 24 to 28 degree Celsius, it is almost like late spring. I think this is the reason why my rosemary is flowering for past 2 weeks.

my herbs

What should i have in my herb garden? I’ll definitely grow a few types of Asian and Mediterranean herbs.

Rosemary
I love using thymes and rosemary in my cooking. I tried to grow thymes but it was a total failure. Will try again later.  As for my Rosemary, it is doing great.  But still no flower.   Any ideas how long do it takes for it to bloom? It loves morning sun and sandy soil.

My mint in a pot. Have used it a few times to cook beryani rice. It will last forever if you continuously propagate a few cutting.
