Nowadays
it is very hot season which is an optimal weather for sunflower growth provided
it is given adequate water and fertilizer. I plant few varieties of sunflower which will bloom sequentially to prevent cross pollination. This is the third variety to bloom, the first one is Russian giant sunflower which only give me with 20 viable seeds followed by bicentenary with 10 viable seeds.
This is among my favourite sunflower because of its yellow
fully double flower. Don't be fool by its name because it is definitely not
petite/cuddly like it name imply. Actually it can grow from 2 to 3 feet, my
plant is only 14 inches due to neglect during its growth.
